Flash is just one of my favorite things. Nothing makes me laugh more, cry more, and have outbursts of random anger than flash. It's so awesome! Anyway I'm on my way to becoming an animator, so be sure to check out my stuff when I upload! Timothy Roth

Going back to my (really) young days...

Posted by DonkeyKidd Jan. 5, 2009 @ 12:10 PM EST

Yeah I know, I'm only 21. But it has been a really long time since I convinced my parents that a Super Nintendo wasn't going to make me lazy. Ha, what a lie!
But now with the SF collab, I had to pull it out once again to play good old Street Fighter 2. Man, I forgot how much fun that game is! Playing my favorite dude (Zangief) I went through the game. Just like old times. Me shouting Bullshit as Ryu does that stupid long range Dragon Punch or whatever it's called. Laughing as Dhalsim does that move where he flies around like a fairy (which fairies arn't real, btw), and that Vega girl that usually gives me trouble, thanks to how slow Zangief is.
After finally getting through it, I went back to another Snes favorite. Mario Cart. Wow, still love that game. After all these years, I have yet to find a racing game I like more than Mario Cart (CTR for PSX comes close). As always, I pick Luigi. As always 100cc. And also as always, I win 1st place. Not that great of a feat now, but when I was 6, it was all I worked toward.
Well that was fun. Back to work!

Losing a Good Friend (2000 - 2008)

Posted by DonkeyKidd Sep. 28, 2008 @ 9:20 PM EDT

Before you read too much further I'm talking about my dog. In my life, my animals are just like my family. Some people don't think as much of their animals, but I do. And losing an animal is truly losing a friend. I can say Chica was really a good friend.
One thing that gave me comfort about my dog's death is the fact that she did have a good life. We found her in an abandoned trailer in a small town near where I live. When we found her, she was sacred and nothing but bones. She was maybe 3 months old then, and it was apparent that she had been dumped there. We tried to get her in the car (we loved he as soon as we seen her) but she just wouldn't get in. So we finally gave up and started driving back to the road. Fortunately, she chased after us and we seen her in the rear view. One of us opened the car door and she jumped right in. After that, she was in love with us too.
This dog was incredibly smart. I house broke her in 2 days. After that she never went on the floor, until she got sick. She was an excellent and minding dog. She did anything that we wanted her too. She also quickly learned that using her cute eyes would make us do whatever she wanted. Over the course of a few years, she got more squeaky toys than any other pet I ever owned. She also loved Beggin' Strips, and cheese (and she got a lot of both).
She was also healthy, until about a week ago. One day when we got home from work she was laying on the floor, not wanting to move at all. We quickly ran her to the Emergency Vet, and found that she was had anemia (that mean's her Hemoglobin was really low, and a low Hemoglobin makes you week.) We put her on Predizone (steroids) and hoped for the best. When we took her back to the vet this last Friday, we found that the Hemoglobin didn't go up much. So the vet checked her and took an xray. She found her spleen was double the size it was supposed to be, and that there was a Cancer tumor on it. Surgery was out of the question, she wouldn't have survived through it because of the low Hemoglobin. She told us she was not in pain though, so we took her home.
She started doing a little better over the weekend. In fact, about 10 minutes before she died, she came up to me licking her lips, and let me scratch her back. She then walked behind the chair and laid down, like she usually would do. She then went into a convulsion and stopped breathing. There was nothing we could do then. She died there in our arms. I'm really grateful that it was fast, and she did not suffer.
It's only been about 6 hours since she died, but I still think I see her sitting in the corner, behind the chair in her bed like she used to. I already miss her a lot. It's hard to imagine having another dog as good as her, and I probably never have one that acted like she did.

RIP Chica My Friend
